PVT Jason P Barker is our newest addition to the STT-NWA family of adopted units.  We had the pleasure of meeting Jason's dad at the Siloam Springs Wal-Mart Drop-off site event this
past weekend, May 14th, 2005, and we quickly learned of his sons' unit stationed in and around the Baghdad area.  PVT Barker is with BRAVO Company, 3-7 INF, 4th Brigade of the 3rd Infantry Division.  Of course, the 3rd ID is on their second tour in Iraq, having distinguishly served in the intial drive on Baghdad.  You may remember the 3rd ID as the command that captured Saddam Hussein.

We received a thank-you letter from PVT Jason Barker of
Bravo Company  3-7 INF  3rd Infantry Division.  He asked that we thank
everyone who supported his unit during the Spring 2005 Care Package Drive,
so we thought we would post the letter here for you.

Below is a copy of the letter that PVT Barker sent us from Iraq, along with
some pictures!!!  Enjoy the short read!!!

Dear Elaine & David,

I am just writing to say thank you for all of the donations y'all sent to my company.  We were overwhelmed by the amount of packages,
(57 to be exact).  Everyone here REALLY enjoyed the cookies and candy, and the hygiene items were a lifesaver.  So, from everyone in BRAVO Company, 3rd Battalion, 7th Infantry Regiment:

THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!

Sincerely;
PVT Jason Barker
