1st Annual SPC Lyle Rymer Memorial Drive Final Results
Well, another care package drive has concluded, and once again I am in awe of the participation and dedication in which you, the public in NWA, Northeast Oklahoma and Southwest Missouri responded to take care of your men and women in uniform overseas.  Let's not waste any time, here are the final numbers for what you, the general public in the tri-state region have contributed to take care of our soldiers.

STT-NWA is pleased to announce that we took in over 2,900 lbs of donations for the 1st Annual Lyle Rymer Care Package Drive.  Yes, that is 1.5 TON of care packages.  We mailed out 189 to 3 different units serving in Iraq.  Those units included the
297th Military Intelligence, BRAVO Company of the 3-7 Infantry, and the 1st Battalion of the 30th Infantry.  We will be receiving photos from these units as they receive the care packages, and we will make sure that we get them posted on this website just as soon as they arrive, and TRUST ME, the packages will be a MAJOR HIT!!!!  All of this success would not be possible had it not been for people, and businesses stepping forward to give us a hand.  First and foremost, I must thank Mike Disney and KAYH Family FM 89.3 for once again joining forces with us during this care package drive.  Mike, you were once again a driving force behind the effort of getting the word out to the communities of NWA/Northeast Oklahoma and Southwest Missouri.  THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

A very BIG THANK YOU to all our corporate sponsors this drive.  This is the first drive in which we actively sought out corporate sponsors, and they did not let us down.
Simmons Foods, DaySpring Greeting Cards, Sonic Restaurants of Siloam Springs, Kent Dobbs Hyundai/Suzuki, ARVEST Bank, A-1 Graphx, and Wal-Mart, thank you so much for all you did to help us out.  Also, I would like to take the time to personally thank the Girl Scounts NOARK Council who donated 200 cases of Girl Scout cookies to our troops that we are supporting.  Those cookies will be thoroughly enjoyed by our troops.  Thank  you very much, Girl Scouts!!!  A very big THANK YOU also goes out to all the businesses and merchants who served as drop-off sites for this drive.  Please take the time to click on this link to check out which of your local merchants are actively supporting our men and women in uniform overseas.

There are so many volunteers to thank for their hard work and dedication to making this drive a success.  Thank you so much
Bill Smith, Leigh Lee, Jamie Owens, Vaughn Hatch, Dionne Bennett, Debbie Corman, Tammi Jenks, Shari Duncan and her girls Jewelleeanne & Kimberly, Mrs. Gamon Davis, Chris & Heather Bishop and Christina LaChance.  A great big THANK YOU goes out to Simmons Foods of Siloam Springs and their employees for their continued support and participation.  We would like to thank the following Simmons Foods employees for stepping up when we needed them most:  Pat Spence, Kelley Martin, Alyson Muldoon, Mary Doyle, Slava Bigvava, Tom Mertz, Jim Thomas, Dwayne Asbill, Nou Xiong, and Mark & Todd Simmons.  We also had several volunteers from DaySpring Greeting Cards in Siloam Springs who came and helped with the packing. sorting, and shipping of the care packages, Beau Ashby, David Anderson, Jane & Leon Kisner --  thank you so much for giving of your time and effort to help us make this drive such a success.

In closing, again thank you to all who worked with STT-NWA to make this care package drive such a success.  However, with us shipping out almost
3,000 lbs of supplies, we ran up a pretty large postage bill, over $3,600 in postage.  Now, we need everyone's help in covering that postage bill.  We have a good start on that sum due to the success of the Spring Raffle Drive we did.  However, we still need considerably more in donations to cover the total bill.  Give what you feel you can give, whether is be $1.00 or $100.00.  Every bit helps, and is needed.  If you are in the Northwest Arkansas/Northeast Oklahoma/Southwest Missouri area, we have made the process of making a donation very convenient.  SImply donate here on our website, or go to ANY ARVEST Bank location, and tell the teller you would like to make a donation to the Support The Troops -NWA account.  If you need further information, feel free to contact Support The Troops - NWA offices at (479) 524-8503 or (479) 238-3716.  You may also email STT-NWA by clicking here!!!  Again, THANK YOU so much for your support.  Preparations will be getting underway really soon for the 2005 Christmas Care Package Drive.
